Psalm 42:1-2.
“As the deer pants (longs for) the water brooks, so my soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”
There are times in our life when we actually get to this place of abject soul thirst for God. James Samuel Monsell, Jr., in 1866 said it this way:
“I hunger and I thirst; Jesus, my manna be: Ye living waters burst, out of the rock for me
For still the desert lies, my thirsting soul before; O living waters, rise, within me evermore.”
