WAIT.

Luke 2:25,27,28.

“And behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waitingfor the comfort of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. Led by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. And when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for Him what was customary under the Law, then he took him up in his arms and blessed God…“

Three key points:

*waiting means ‘ready to receive’.

*Simeon means ‘hearing with discernment and insight.’

*Note the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Simeon, prompted by the Spirit, arrives at the precise moment Jesus is dedicated. The prompting of the Spirit in the posture of waiting fulfilled his waiting.

This week, in your posture of waiting, watch for the Holy Spirit prompting…it could fulfill your specific wait.
