Luke 2:25.
“And behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation (comfort, restoration) of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
His name means: hearing.
This Spirit-filled man had already heard from God (verse 26); now, being prompted by the Spirit, arrived precisely the moment Jesus is dedicated. The prompting of the Spirit in the posture of waiting fulfilled the waiting.
This week, in your posture of waiting, watch for the Holy Spirit’s prompting that will fulfill your specific wait.
