WHY?

Psalm 42: 5.

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him for the salvation of His presence.”

The circumstances are not going well for David, causing self-talk and creating God-doubt (Verse 9). Even the people around him are saying, “Where is your God”? (Verse 10). But he didn’t stay there.

This verse is a road we all can travel, moving from inner turmoil (downcast, disturbed) to hope, praise, and presence (beholding the face of God).
